HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/10/69MINUTES OF PLANNING cOMMISSION MEETING ON NOVEMBEP, 10, 1969 Persons present: Moen, Solelm~ Pederson, Fluegel, Bauer, Fischer, and Hallberg. Non members present: Willis Olson and Ernle Olson. Moved~ seconded, and passed that minutes of prior meeting be accepted. Willis Olson and Ernle Olson then addressed the group regarding their Mobile Home area in South Hastings, Minnesota. They stated that they have purchased the Eggensberger property for expanding their park. The new area will have lots no smaller than 401by 80./ The principal discussion was with reference to access o The first alternate proposed was that the Eggensberger driveway be used as an access point from the highway and that the driveway then cut Southeasterly diagnoally across the property into the park. This will be a temporary solution according to the Olsons. The other alternate proposal would be to enter at the South entrance (at the Island) and exit from the Northerly access point. OV e ( (~uestion was raised whether this was a drainage ditch~ the Eggensberger property and if so, can they change the course within the property? They stated that their immediate need was the approvaJ of an entrance at the Eggensberger tract to serve as both an entrance and exit. Motion by Fischer, seconded by Moen, that: 1. City Attorney determine legality of change of water course. 2. City Engineer check access / egress with State and County regarding safety and report back to Planning Commisslon. Ayes, ail; nays~ none. The next item discussed was the Highway #55 Bypass. T~e question was mlsed whether the City should take a pc~ition on the location around the Southwesterly portion of the City. Motion by Fluegel, seconded by Fischer, that the City Clerk be asked to contact the Highway Department and have a representative meet with the Council, Planning Commission, County Planner, and representatives of the two Townships involved, at a time to be selected in early December, with reference to the Highway #55 location. Ayes, all; nays, none. The Zoning Ordinance review then continued where it had left off after the last meeting, on page 43 of the propceal. Section 7.6.1 add: "and supporting" after "apartments" in Fourth line, preceding word "offlces". Section 7.6,1.2 Section 7.6,1,12 Section 7,6.1.14 Section 7,6,1.15 Secflon 7,6.1.17 Section 7,6.1.20 Sect ion 7.6.1.21,1 Section 7.6,1.21.2 delete "1.5 acres" and add "5 acres". 2½, not 2 delete "and that", and add "the" before "maneuvering". after "approval ", delete balance of sentence after "plan", precede 3-½ by "no less than". delete "120" and add "160". delete in total.
