Item: Accept a Donation from The Cyr Family for a Memorial Bench
Council Action Requested: Council is asked to accept a donation in the amount of $800.00, made to the
Parks and Recreation Department and has designated that this donation be used for a memorial bench in a
City Park or Trail.
Background Information: The Cyr Family has made this donation to be used a memorial bench in a City
Park or Trail.
Financial Impact:
Increase the Parks and Recreation donation account by $800.00

RESOLUTION 07 - - 23
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING ACCEPTANCE OF AND APPRECIATION OF A DONATION
TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Cyr Family has presented to the City Parks & Recreation Department a donation
of $800.00 and has designated that this donation be used for a memorial bench in a City Park or on a City
Trail; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of the donation and commends The Cyr Family for
their civic efforts,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hastings,
Minnesota;
1. That the donation is accepted and acknowledged with gratitude; and
2. That the donation will be appropriated for a memorial bench to be placed in a City Park or on a
City Trail; and
Adopted this 17th day of July, 2023
