Members present: Chairman Linde, Kramer, Hirchert, Soleim, Stoffel, Tenner, and Trautmann. Members absent: Hallberg Moved by Trautmann, Planning Commission Meeting as amended. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. Mr. Foxworth applied for a variance which will allow an addition onto an e~isting garage which does not meet the sideyard setback requirements. The proposal calls [or an extension of the present garage along a one foot sideyard setback. The Zoning Code requires a 30" setback. seconded by Stoffel to approve the Minutes of the ~3~gust Z6 VARIANCE DAVID F OXWORTH 300 W. 7th ST. Moved by Soleim, seconded by Trautmann to approve the requested variance, due to the fact that the garage was constructed before present zoning standards were enacted, and because the addition could not be constructed without removing a sizable tree. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. The Planning Director explained the reports submitted by the City's engineering consultant regarding up-dating the 5 year Capital Improvement Program. The Planning Commission made the following comments: CAPITAL IMPROV~ MENTS PROGRAM 1. Is it necessary to construct a fence around the City's ponding facil'ities ? Before any sidewalk construction is approved, as part of the Capital Improvements Program, we should know where it is going, how wide it will be, how wide the street will be, and the feasibility of placing the sidewalk in the proposed 3. If a sewer line is extended out to the State Hospital, the State should pay for it. If the department heads have not done so already, they should arrange their list of items to be included in the Capital Improvements Program, according to priority. 5. The department heads should appear before the Planning Commission to discuss their proposals. Planning Con,mission Minutes -Z- .~eptember 9, 1974 Moved by Soleim, seconded by Kramer to schedule a public hearing for 7:30 P.M., September 23, 1974, regarding Special Use Permit allowing an existing building to be used for the repair of the Farmers Co-op equipment. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
