HomeMy WebLinkAboutII.B.1 - Resolution - Authorize Signature - 114 5th Street Purchase Agreement1 HASTINGS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA HEDRA RESOLUTION NO. 2023-04 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SIGNATURE FOR PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR PID 19-32150-28-060 (114 5TH STREET W) WHEREAS, the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority (“HEDRA”) desires to purchase property legally described as follows: Parcel 1: Lot 6, Block 28, Town of Hastings, according to the recorded plat thereof, and situate in Dakota County, Minnesota Abstract Property Property ID: 19-32150-28-060 (the “Property”) for redevelopment purposes; and WHEREAS, through the adopted Vermillion Street Corridor Study, the City Council and HEDRA have identified opportunity sites for redevelopment and the Property to be purchased is within an opportunity site; and WHEREAS, the Purchase Agreement describes and articulates the sale of the Property and that HEDRA approves of these terms of the purchase; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority as follows: 1. The purchase of the Property by HEDRA is in the public interest of the City and its people, furthers its general plan of economic development and furthers the aims and purposes of Minn. Stat. Sections 469.090 to 469.108; and the appropriate officials are authorized to take such action so as to effectuate such sale. 2. HEDRA approves the Purchase Agreement, subject to minor modification as approved by the City Attorney and the appropriate officials are authorized to take such action as to effectuate its execution and implementation.
