Members present: Commissioners Wendler, Bultman, Kramer, Freiermuth, Murphy, Kunkel, Von Feldt, Reuter, and Simacek. Members absent: None. Moved by C~maissioner Bultman, seconded by Cormlissioner APPROVAL OF MINUTES Freiennuth to approve the minutes of the January 14, 1980 Planning Conmissionmeeting. Ayes, 9; Nayes, none. The Planner explained that this was a replat resulting FINAL PLAT DAKOTA HILLS from the creation of a PondiDg Basin and incorporating a vacated 6TH ADDITION street. The Planner also indicated that since the last meeting, the Staff has received a grading plan as required as a condition of the preliminary plat, had reviewed the grading pland and reccam- ended approval of the final plat subject to certain conditions. Moved by Conmissioner Kramer, seconded by Coamissioner Simacek to approve the final plat of Dakota Mills 6th Addition with the following conditions: 1. The grading plan shall contain a key describing what the elevations shall represent. 2. The site plan which will be submitted for building permit approval shall contain top of block house elevations in addition to other required information. 3. The City's copy of the final plat shall show the total plat area and lot square footages. Ayes, 9; Nayes, none. Mr. Sieben briefed the Planning Coamission on a c(xanercial development he proposes to construct on Vermillion Street in South Hastings. ~. Sieben's proposal would consist of a site and structure housing a facility for gas pumps, Mr. Sieben's office, and three retail outlets. No action was requested. DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT 2131 VERMILLION ST. AL SIEBEN The Planner indicated that the 90 day appeal period for the base flood elevations which had been published in August has expired. Me explained that ~le final draft of the flood insurance study had also been received. Me went on to explain the actions remaining to be accon~plished in the process, and gave a brief surrmary of flood insurance and flood plain manag~nent related activities. STATUS REPORT ON FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY Moved by Coranissioner Kranmr, seconded by Coarnissioner ADJ~ Kunkel to adjourn at 8:15 P.M. Ayes, 9; Nayes, none. After the meeting had been adjourned, the Planner gave a slide presentation from the Minnesota State Planning Agency explaining the basic processes involved in Zoning. SLIDE PRESENTATION
