Council Action Requested: Council is asked to accept a donation in the amount of $4,000.00,
made to the Parks and Recreation Department and has designated that this donation be used for
the scoreboard at the Hastings Civic Arena.
Background Information: Miesville Lions Club has made this donation to be used for the
scoreboard at the Hastings Civic Arena.
Financial Impact:
Increase the Parks and Recreation donation account by $4,000.00

RESOLUTION NO. 08 - - 22
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING ACCEPTANCE OF AND APPRECIATION OF
A DONATION TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Miesville Lions Club has presented to the City Parks &
Recreation Department a donation of $4,000.00 and has designated that this donation be
used for the Score Board at the Hastings Civic Arena; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of the donation and commends The
Miesville Lions Club for their civic efforts,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Hastings, Minnesota;
1. That the donation is accepted and acknowledged with gratitude; and
2. That the donation will be appropriated for the Score Board/sound system at
the Hastings Civic Arena; and
Adopted this 1st day of August, 2022
