The meeting was called to order at 7:32 P.M. by Chalrr~n Wendler. ~3nbers Present: Commissioners Wendler, Stevens, Von Feldt, Reuter, Bultman, Simacek and Murphy. Members Absent: Coranissioners Kunkel and Freiermuth. Coranissioner Simacek indicated that he was not indicated as being present or absent in the minutes of the November 24, 19SO meeting. Moved by Corm~ssioner Murphy, seconded by Commissioner Reuter to approve the minutes of the November 24, 1980 meeting with the addition of including Coram/ssioner Simacek as being present. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. The Planner explained that a public hearing notice could not be put in the paper for the required time period after the last meeting because of the Thanksgiving holiday. .Moved by Con-missioner Reuter, seconded by Commissioner Si~ceK to rescheduie the public he~ring for the Dec- ember 22, 1980 Planning Coranission Meeting. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. The Planner presented a report covering the things dis- cussed at the recent committee meeting on signs. He then reviewed a proposed ~rding for an ordinance smend- ment that ~uld incorporate the points discussed at the coranittee meeting. The Planning Commission discussed the proposed arrendments, and other aspects of the sign ordinance needing revision. 5~)ved by Commissioner 5~rphy, seconded by Conrmissioner Von Feldt, to reconrnend the Council approve the prepesed amendment as indicated in the Planner's December 5, 1980 memo, with the exception that Item ~4 be revised so that the 4th line reads "up to a maxim%~ of 24 square feet", rather than"not to exceed 24 square feet." 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
