The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairn~n Wendler.
Merabers Present:
Coramissioners Wendler, Stevens, Von Feldt, ~uter,
Sin~cek, Kunkel, and Murphy
Members Absent: Commissioners Bultr~un and Freiermuth
Moved by Cor~nissioner Murphy, seconded by Conraissioner
Kunkel to approve the minutes of the December 8, 1980
Planning Conraission meeting. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
APPNOVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Wendler opened the public hearing at 7:31 P.M.
The Planner indicated that on file were a copy of the
notice of public hearing, affidavit of publication,
and certificate of mailing. Thus, the public hearing
was properly called.
~,ir. Olson stated that in order to receive the funding
for the construction of the two-family da~lling under
a public program, it may be necessary to utilize the
existing basement structure for the foundation of the
duplex. Chairman Wendler asked if he knew where the
existing structure sat in relation to the property
lines. He said that he didn't know for sure, but that
it was in line with the other houses on the block. The
Planner explained that structures could be the average
of adjacent structures up to a minim~n of 15 feet from
the front property line. He pointed out, however,
that in order to meet the required three parking
stalls, the driveway for the garage wo~tld have to be
at least 20 feet long.

After all people present had an opportunity to be
heard on the matter, Chairman Wendler closed the
public hearing at 7:51 p.m.
l~oved by Coranissioner Simacek, seconded by Commissioner
Kunkel to recorrmend approval of the special use per-
m~t for the two-family dwelling, and the variance from
the lot size requirements, provided the proposed
structure meets all other ?Dning and other applicable
City requirements. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.

The Planning Co~nission reviewed various aspects of
the sign ordinance possibly needing clarification.
The Planner was to come back with specific wordings
£~ the points discussed.
Moved by Conrnissioner Kunkel, seconded by Conmiss-
loner Simacek to adjourn at 8:43 p.m. 7 Ayes, O Nayes.
