Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Members Present: Members Absent: by Chairman Wendler. Commissioners Wendler, Stevens, Von Feldt, Reuter, Bultman, Murphy and Simice~ who arrived at 7:37 p.m. Commissioners Freiermutb and Munkel. Moved by Commissioner Murphy seconded by Commissioner Reuter to approve the Minutes of the June 8, 1981 Planning Commission Meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Tichawa proposed to take over the existinc Graham's Landing Gift Shop operation. Moved by Commissioner Murphy seconded by Commissioner Von Feldt to approve the Home Occupation Permit, as the use bad not shown to be imcompatible with surrounding properities when its previous owner conducted the business. 6 Ayes, 0 Nayes Mr. Anderson repairs police weapons as Dart of his job. He would also consider working for profit at some later date. Moved by Commissioner Bultman seconded by Commissioner Reuter to recommed approval of this Home Occupation Permit, as it appeared to meet all the home occupation limitations. 6 Ayes, 0 Nayes NOME OCCUPATION P~RUTT GIFT SHOP GRANAM'S LANDING 207 WEST 2ND $~EFT LEO TICHAWA NO~F OCCITPATION PERMIT GUN SMIT~!NG 1804 DTN~ SmRFET GORDON ANDmRSON The setback variance would permit a minor subdivision creating a new building lot. The setback variance was only for the carage. The main portion of the house met the ~et- back requirement. VARIANCE RFOUEST REAR SETBACg 1520 RAMSFV STREFT G~RALD ~PA~DRNP JR. Moved by Commission Von Feldt seconded by Commissioner Stevens to approve the variance request, as the denial would constitute a unnecessary hardship. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes -2- July 13, 1Q~I The proposal would involve enclosing the fire exit stairways with stone closely matchinq than of the existing building. Moved by Commisgioner Simacek seconded by Commissioner Bultman to approve the proposed building materials and design, as it would appear to enhance the site and surroundinq area. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes Mr. Reuter's proposal would involve six twin homes and three 4-plexes. The Planner reviewed the aspects of the plans, and recommeded certain revisions. Commissioner Bultman stated that she felt additional play ground area should be provided. Moved by Commissioner Bultman seconded by Commissioner Simacek to schedule a Public Hearing for the preliminary plat conditioned upon the developer meeting the staff revision requirements as stated the the Planners memo by July 22. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes The Planning Commission agreed to designate Commissioners Wendler, Bultman, and Murphy, as the MPA designated members for the ensuing year. Moved by Commissioner Simacek seconded by Commissioner Reuter to adjourn at 8:14 p.m. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
