MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1981
7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 7:31 P.M. by Chairman Wendler
Members Present: Commissioners Wendler, Stevens, Reuter~ Simacek, Kunkel,
Freiermuth, and Murphy
Members Absent: Commissioners Yon Feldt and Bultman~
Moved by Cormmissioner Murphy, seconded by Commissioner
Murphy to approve the Minutes of the October 13, 1981
meeting. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Wendler opened the Public Hearing at 7:32
P.M. The Planner read the Notice of Public Hearing
and indicated that the Certificate of Mailing and
Affidavit of Publication were on file. Therefore,
the Public Hearing was properly called.
The Planner explained that the request met all zoning
requirements. No member of the audience presented any
comments. After all people present had an opportun-
ity to be heard on the matter, Chairman Wendler
closed the Public Hearing at 7:35 P.M.

Moved by Commissioner Reuter, seconded by Comm-
issioner Freiermuth to recommend approval of
the requested special use permit. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes
Chairman Wendler opened the Public Hearing at
7:36 P.M. The Planner informed the Commission that
on file were the copies of the Notice of Public
Hearing,,Affidavit of Publica~on, and Certificate
of Mailing. Thus, the Public Hearing was properly
called.
Eleanor Liska, a resident in the area, stated that
she felt drainage problems still existed. She also
stated she was concerned about the effects of further
development on the drainage in the area, that she
did not feel there was enough knowledge about the
drainage area to warrant approval of the Pre-
liminary Plat, and that the area within w~ich the
plat exists is a very treacherous area for dev-
elopment. Mr. Robert Liska, also an area resident,
asked the City Planner to explain how the request
had been brought before the Planning Commission.
After the Planner had explained the review process
Mr. Liska continued to ask questions about why the
preliminary plat was being reviewed when the same
plat had been tabled by the Council some time ago.
