APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Planner noted that on file were a Notice of Public
Hearing, Certificate of Mailing, and Affidavit of
Public Hearing. Thus the Public Hearing was properly
called. The Planner reviewed the Proposal with the
Commissioners and the audience.
Chairman Wendler opened the Public Hearing at 7:31 P.M.
Ann Peterson, a resident in the area, presented the
Commission with a letter stating her opposition
to the proposal. Her concerns were that there would
be a safety hazard with two driveways onto River
Street, which is a busy street, that the house
would be inconsistent with the character of the
neighborhood, and that the variances were not
justified. Mrs. Reissner, another resident
in the area who had previously owned the property
stated that she felt that only single family
dwellings should be permitted. Mr. Tony Blatnik
also stated that there would be traffic hazards
with the proposal and that the home would not be
compatible with the rest of the neighborhood.
Mr. Thomas Trutna also said he felt the structure
would not be compatible, and that the variances
were not appropriate. Mr. Chris Horsch stated
that he did not feel duplexes should be allowed
in the area. The Mayor stated that the Commission
members should take a close look at the area, and
that the Commission did not have to approve the
proposal. One of the neighbors presented the
Commission with a petition with 17 signatures
opposing the proposed two family dwelling.

Wendler closed the Public Hearing at 8:06 P.M.
Commissioner Murphy recommended that members take
the time to look at the property and the surrounding
area. Chairman Wendler appointed a Committee
chaired by Commissioner Murphy, with Commissioners
Swanson, Anderson, and Conzemius to review the
proposal and report back at the Meeting. The
Public Hearing is also to be continued until
that Meeting.
Mr. Greg Jablonske and Mr. Neil Siewert were
present to explain a proposed development in-
cluding double wide mobile homes and modular homes
on separate lots, and a traditional mobile home park.
They showed the Commission various floor plans,
and the preliminary sketch plan of their proposed
development. The Commission generally indicated
favorable views towards this proposal.
Mr. Willis Olson was also in the audience and
also asked to review his development plans with
the Commission. Mr. Olson's proposed development
would include traditional housing along with a mo-
bile home park. The Commission was also
favorable towards Mr. Olson's proposal.

Commissioner Murphy to adjourn at 9:11 P.M.
