PDNDAY, APRIL 11, 1983
7:30 P.M.
Chairman Murphy called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
M~mbers present: C~L~issioners ~qphy, Swanson, Stevens, Reuter, Martin,
Simacek, Conzemius, Anderson, and Wendler.
Members absent: None.
Barbara Thot~son, Deputy City Clerk, gave Barbara Martin
the oath of office.

Moved by C~/~Rssioner Wendler, seconded by C~L,~issioner
Stevens to approve the minutes of the ~t~rch 28, 1983
meeting. 9 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
The Planner indicated that this would be an extension of
her existing home occupation to include both the publish-
ing business and antique sales. He indicated that all
zoning requirements would be met.
It was indicated that the Thorsens are also operating a
bed and breakfast service at thei~ home. The Planner
indicated that he had informed the Thorsens that he
felt no approval was needed for that type of operation.

Moved by Conmissioner Stevens, seconded by Co~,~issioner
Anderson to reco~nd approval of the home occupation
request, since the zoning req~tirements were met, and
that adjacent property owners be notified of the reqest
prior to the Council meeting. 9 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
S~ne C~m,:ssion members expressed concern that the re-
quest wasn't presented before the house was constructed.
Moved by C~,~ssioner Wendler, seconded by Simacek to
schedule a public hearing for the April 25, 1983
Planning Conm~ssion meeting. 9 Ayes, 0 Nayes.
The Planner presented the Conraission with information
collected in previous studies in the matter. He also
indicated that the Metropolitan Council has a present-
ation on housing issues that would be helpful to hear
prior to making any decisions. Co~ttee Chairman
Conzemius indicated that he would be meeting with the
Chairmmn of the Planning Comnittee of the Council to set
up a larger meeting in the near future.

C~&ssioner Wendler indicated that the C~L~,~ttee had
discussed v~rious rotters relating to the P.R.D. Ordinance,
and that tb~ staff would try to obtain additional inform-
ation.
