Home My WebLink About09/28/87HASTIL~GS PLANNING COMMISSIO2q September 28, 1987 The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Members Present: Commissioners Anderson, Kaiser, Dredge, Simacek, Folch, Conzemius, Voelker, Ditty. Members Absent: Commissioner Stevens. Staff Present: Assistant Planner Steve Bjork and City Administrator Gary Brown A motion was made by Commissioner Kaiser, seconded by Commissioner Dredge to approve the September 14, 1987 Planning Commission minutes. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 8; Nayes, None· MINUTES Chairman Simacek opened discussion at SITE PLAN REVIEW 7:32 p.m. for the Site Plan Review for the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Hastings Elementary School. The Schools Architect presented the site plan for the school. After discussion a motion was made by C~nmissioner Dredge, seconded by Commissioner Kaiser to approve the Site Plan for the Elementary School as submitted. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 8; Nayes,None. Chairman Simacek opened discussion on the Site SITE PL~ REVI Plan Review for Gordys Glass at 7:52 p.m. GORDYS GLASS Assistant Planner Bjork stated that the site plan appears to meet code requirements· After discussion, a motion was made by Commission~~ ~'~° ~-~-~ ~DDrove the site plan subject to the following conditions: 1. Parking spaces striped per site plan. Since parking will be located on the north side of the property, the access on the north side may present a hazard. It appears as though the preformed concrete curbs may prevent access to the parking lot. If this is not the case, steps should be taken to eliminate the access completely. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. A motion was made by Commissioner Conzemius seconded by Commissioner Dredge to order a Public Hearing for the Preliminary/Final Plat and Site Plan Review of Riverwood 3rd Addition. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. ORDER PUBLIC HEARING-RIVER~OD 3RD ADDITION The Commission discussed the parking study. Assistant Planner Bjork updated the Commission on recent City Council decisions pertaining to: OTHER ITEMS/ UPDATE River Valley Clinic Rezoning of Lots 6,7,8, Blk 122, Original Town of Appeal of A~ministrative Decision - Ron Bathrick Hastings There being no further business a motion was ADJOURNMENT made by Commissioner Dredge, seconded by Com~nissioner Kaiser to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.
