Meeting of October 12, 1993
The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to order by Planning
Commissioner Reinardy at 7:00 P.M.
Commissioners Present: Bateman, Bolesworth, Featherstone, Onnen and Reinardy
Commissioners Absent: Anderson and Schommer

MINUTES
Commissioner Reinardy called for additions or corrections to the
meeting minutes of August 23, 1993. There being no additions or
corrections the minutes were approved.
HOME OCCUPATION
971 SOUTHVIEW
DRIVE-BOWMAN
Czech reviewed staffs September 23, 1993, memorandum to the Planning
Commission concerning a request by Barbara Bowman for approval of a
home occupation permit at 971 Southview Drive.
Commissioner Bateman moved, Commissioner Onnen made a second, to
recommend approval of the home occupation permit at 971 Southview
Drive subject to Miss Bowman complying with all home occupation
standards including, but not limited to, basic fire protection
inspection by the Fire Marshall.
Upon vote taken, Ayes, 5; Nays, O.
Commissioner Anderson Joined the meeting at 7:03 p.m.
HOME OCCUPATION
110 RIVER STREET
O'CONNOR
Czech reviewed staffs September 22, 1993, memorandum to the Planning
Commission concerning a request by James O'Connor for approval of a
home occupation permit at 110 River Street.
James O'Connor was present at the meeting and addressed questions
raised by the Planning Commission and adjacent property owners
including, but not limited to, the duration of the home occupation,
total square footage of the home, and parking.
Commissioner Bateman moved, Commissioner Bolesworth made a second,
to recommend approval of the home occupation permit at ll0 River
Street subject to Mr. O'Connor complying with all home occupation
standards including, but not limited to, a basic fire protection
inspection by the Fire Marshall.
Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0.
UPDATES/OTHER
BUSINESS
Czech reviewed actions pertaining to planning matters taken by the
City Council and the Metropolitan Council. Commissioner Featherstone
provided a handout concerning variances, ponding basins and
landscaping.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Commissioner Featherstone moved,
Commissioner Bateman made a second, to adjourn the meeting at 7:30
p.m.
