HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/13/94Hastings Planning Commission Meeting of June 13, 1994 The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to order by Commissioner Reinardy at 7:00 p.m. Commissioners Present: Bateman, Bolesworth, Onnen, Reinardy, Schommer, and Flom Commissioners Absent: None. Staff Present: City Planner Czech MINUTES Commissioner Reinardy called for additions or corrections to the meeting minutes of May 9, 1994. There being no additions or corrections the minutes were approved. HOME OCCUPATION- 206 EDDY STREET Czech reviewed staffs May 25, 1994, memorandum to the Planning Commission concerning a request by Gerald & Kathleen Svihel for approval of a home occupation permit which would allow them a business where computer graphics are thermally applied to printable garments. The Planning Commission discussed issues relating to the home occupation including, but not limited to, whether this was a temporary use and if special ventilation would be necessary for conducting the use. Commissioner Bateman moved, Commissioner Bolesworth made a second, to recommend approval of the home occupation permit subject to Mr. & Mrs. Svihel complying with all home occupation standards including, but not limited to, a basic fire protection inspection by the Fire Marshall. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0. UPDATES/OTHER Czech reviewed City Council actions relating to planning matters which occurred at the June 6, 1994 City Council meeting. The Planning Commission discussed issues relating to the recent zoning ordinance amendment which allows indoor automobile sales. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Onnen moved, Commissioner Flommade a second, to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
