Meeting of October 10, 1995
The regular meeting of the Hastings Planning Commission was called to order by Commissioner
Reinardy at 7:00 p.m.

MINUTES
Commissioner Reinardy called for additions or corrections to the
meeting minutes of September 25, 1995. There being no additions
or corrections the minutes were approved.

Czech reviewed staffs September 21, 1995 memorandum to the
Planning Commission concerning a request by David E. Tanner,
Trustee for the A1 & Lucille Sieben Trust, for approval of a minor
subdivision of property next to West 31 st Street.
Commissioner Reinardy opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m.
Paul Greten was present at the meeting and identified himself as an
adjacent property owner. He asked questions about future plans for
the subject property and expressed concern about cleaning up certain
adjacent properties.
There being no further comments from the audience, the public
hearing was closed at 7:05 p.m.
The Planning Commission discussed issues relating to the proposed
minor subdivision including, but not limited to, the next steps for
developing the subject property.
Commissioner Harrington moved, Commissioner Onnen made a
second, to recommend approval of the minor subdivision as
illustrated on the boundary survey prepared by Dwyer & Associates,
Incorporated and dated January 30, 1995 (Drawing No. 95-008).
Upon vote taken, Ayes, 5; Nays, 0.

Czech reviewed staff's October 2, 1995 memorandum to the
Planning Commission concerning the zoning ordinance rewrite that
amends Chapter 10.
Commissioner Reinardy opened the public heating at 7:10 p.m.
There being no one present at the meeting the public hearing was
dosed.
The Planning Commission discussed with staff issues relating to the
amendment of Chapter 10, including, but not limited to, the
differences between the R-3 and R-4 zone districts and the use of the
Planned Residential Development (PRD) designation.
Commissioner Schommer moved, Commissioner Bolesworth made a
second, to recommend approving the zoning ordinance rewrite as
contained in the Planning Commission packet that amends Chapter
10 relating to land use regulations (zoning).
Upon vote taken, Ayes, 5; Nays, 0.
Czech reviewed City Council actions concerning planning related
matters.
Commissioner Bolesworth moved, Commissioner Schommer made a
second, to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
