HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/26/96Hastings Planning Commission Minutes of August 26, 1996 Commissioner Onnen opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Commissioners Present: Strauss, Boleswonh, Flom, Harrington and Onnen. Commissioners Absent: Schommer. Staff Present: Community Development Director Wozniak and Planning Intern Matt Wetland MINUTES: Commissioner Onnen called for additions or corrections to the August 12, 1996, meeting minutes. There being no additions or corrections the minutes were approved. P.H. - HASTINGS FAMILY TOWNHOMES PRELIMINARY PLAT Wozniak presented background information on the Hastings Family Townhomes preliminary plat. Commissioner Onnen opened the Public Hearing at 7:12 p.m. Kari Gill of the Dakota County HRA and Paul Madsen, Project Architect explained the concept behind providing this type of affordable housing in Hastings and also, explained details of the proposed townhome development design. There being no further comment the hearing was closed at 7:25. Commissioner Bolesworth moved and Commissioner Flom made a second to recommend approval to the Hastings City Council of the Hastings Family Townhomes preliminary plat subject to the following conditions: 4 Site plan approval. Granting of a fifty foot wide access/egress easement through the abutting City water tower site to allow a driveway to be constructed to the North Frontage Rd. Modification of the plat to include drainage and utility easements as determined necessary in conjunction with site plan approval. That payment of $26,350.00 cash in lieu of land prior to release of the final plat be required to meet park dedication requirements for the plat. That $8525.00 be paid prior to release of final plat hard shells by the City to meet Intercepter Sewer platting access fee requirements. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 4; Nays, 0. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Strauss moved and Commissioner Bolesworth made a second to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
