Call Meeting to Order Planning Commissioners Present: Deaver, Alpaugh, Johnson, Barse, Siebenaler, Best, and Martin Planning Commissioners Absent: None Staff Present: Community Development Director John Hinzman 2. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Alpaugh moved to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner Johnson seconded the motion. Motion approved 7-0. PUBLIC HEARINGS 3. Shelly Kranz – Minor Subdivision and Variance #2019-06 – 1548 Featherstone Road. Community Development Director Hinzman discussed the minor subdivision and variance request by applicant Shelly Kranz for 1548 Featherstone Road. The public hearing was opened and closed with no comments received. Commissioners discussed the lot width, location of utility stubs and access to the property. Commissioner Alpaugh moved to approve the minor subdivision and variance request for 1548 Featherstone Road. Commissioner Barse seconded the motion. Motion approved 7-0. City Council will consider the request on April 1st. OTHER ACTIONS 1. Fair Housing Policy Community Development Director Hinzman explained the Fair Housing Policy. Commission questioned if the Fair Housing Policy would affect operations or the Comprehensive Plan. Commissioner Siebenaler moved to approve the Fair Housing Policy. Commissioner Alpaugh seconded the motion. Motion approved 7-0. 2. Planning Commission Meeting Change Community Development Director Hinzman discussed the pros and cons of reducing the number of Planning Commission meetings. Commission discussed reducing the number of Planning Commission monthly meetings. No action taken. 3. Election of Planning Commission Chair Commissioner Barse moved to elect Vice Chair Alpaugh as Chair. Motion approved 7-0. Commissioner Alpaugh moved to elect Commission Barse as Vice Chair. Motion approved 7-0. 4. Other Business Discussion of past council activities, future commission actions, and earlier receipt of commission packets. 5. Adjourn – Meeting adjourned at 7:47 p.m. Next Meeting – April 8, 2019
