Minutes of July 12th, 1999
Regular Meeting
Commissioner Schultz called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Flom, Harrington, Schultz, Anderson, Donndelinger and Strauss
Commissioners Absent: none
Staff Present: Supervisor of Inspections and Code Enforcement, Bill Mesaros
2. Approve Meeting Minutes of June 28th Planning Commission Meeting.
3. Public Hearing- M+H Special Use
Supervisor of Inspections and Code Enforcement, Bill Mesaros presented background information on this
subject.
Public Hearing Opened at 7:05 pm for the Special Use
Public Comments: Francis Cahill 211 3rd St- concerned about
counts.
Paul Peters- concerned about vehicles at the phone, light, noise
Dan Dege (applicant) - Requested to pull item from agenda indefinitely
gas smell, parking, traffic
Planning Commission Action:
Commissioner Donndelinger made a motion and Commissioner Strauss made a second to pull the
M+H Car Wash item from the agenda.
Upon vote taken, Ayes, 6; Nays, 0. Motion did not Carry.
4. House Move - 15th + Sibley St
Supervisor of Inspections and Code Enforcement, Bill Mesaros presented background information on this
subject.
Planning Commission Action:
Commissioner Donndelinger made a motion and Commissioner Flom made a second to recommend
to City Council to authorize issuance of moving & building permits to allow the home included in a
proposal from Gary Betz to be moved to the corner of 15th and Sibley St., subject to the following
conditions:
1. Compliance with all applicable City Code requirements including, but not limited to: City Code
Chapter 4 (Construction Regulations) and City Code Chapter 18 (Property Maintenance
Ordinance).
2. That the property is properly subdivided before the home can be moved in.
3. That the yard area is seeded or sodded to establish a lawn.
4. That 2 deciduous shade tree (minimum 2.5 inch diameter) be planted in the front yard prior to
issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
5. That a paved driveways is installed.
That the home is placed on a full perimeter foundation.
That all exterior site work on the structure and site be completed within 6 months from the date of
permit issuance.
