HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/27/98Hastings Planning Commission Minutes of April 27, 1998 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Schommer called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Commissioners Present: Schommer, Harrington, Flom, Strauss, Donndelinger, Schultz, and Anderson. Staff Present: Community Development Director Wozniak and Zoning Administrator Weiland. Minutes: There being no changes or corrections the meeting minutes of the April 7, 1998 - Regular Planning Commission Meeting were approved. Public Hearing: Rezone Wallin 7th Addition: Zoning Administrator Weiland presented background information regarding this item. Commissioner Schommer opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. There being no comments the hearing was closed. Commissioner Harrington made a motion and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to recommend approval to the Hastings City Council of re-zoning of property being platted as Wallin 7th Addition from the Agriculture District to the R-1 Single Family Residence District. Upon vote taken, Ayes, 7; Nays, 0. Motion carried. Sunset West Addition Final Plat: Zoning Administrator Weiland presented background information regarding this item. Commissioner Donndelinger made a motion and Commissioner Anderson made a second to recommend approval to the Hastings City Council of Sunset West Addition Final Plat subject to the following conditions: The final plat hard shells must be consistent with the approved final plat. The developer shall pay $11,020.00 in interceptor sewer charges prior to the City signing any final plat. The Developer shall pay $850.00 per unit at the time of building permit issuance, in order to meet park dedication requirements. The developer shall plant one Aboulevard@ tree and one front yard tree per lot. These trees shall be at least two inches in diameter at the base and the species of the tree should be on the list of approved trees prepared by the City Forester. This requirement is consistent with what the City has been requiring in other areas. An escrow shall be required for any unplanted trees before occupancy on any units without trees is allowed.
