HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-10-86 Special 40 September 10, 1986 Hastings, Minnesota 55033 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a special meeting on I'lednesday, September 10, 1986 at 5:00 p.m. in the Counci I Chambers of the City Hall for the purpose of Canvassing the Election Returns for the Primary Election held on Tuesday, September 9, 1986. Members Present: Councilmember Werner, Bond, Trautmann, Nesbitt, Wendler and Mayor Stoffel Members Absent: Councilmember Berg, I(ulzer, Plan. Councilmember Werner introduced the fol lowing Resol ution and moved its adoption: RESO_UTION NO. 78-86 CANVASS OF PR I r,1ARY EL E CT I ON RETURNS RESOlUTION NO. 78-86 RESOL UT ION ON PR IMARY ELEer ION The results of the canvass of votes in the four (4) Wards of the City for the Primary Election held therein on Tuesday, the 9th day of September, 1986 and the same are declared to be as fol lows: 1 st 'dard Counc i I person at Large 3rd \~a rd Counc i I person at Large Tom E. At Large Councilperson Tom E. Nesbitt Fred Trautmann r'4ichael Werner Pursuant to Chapter 2, Section 2.05, of the City Charter, the City Administrator/Clerk notified the three (3) candidates for the office of At Large Counci I person that their respective names would appear on the General Election Bal lot on November 4, 1986, unless within two (2) days they file a refusal. Councilmernber Bond seconded the motion to adopt said Resolution and the same was passed by the fol low I ng votes: Ayes, 6; Nayes, o. Moved by Counci I member Nesbitt, seconded by Counci I member Wendler to adjourn the meeting at 5:05 p.m. Ayes, 6; Nayes, O. ,--
