Mtg. 1981 Hastings, Minnesota September 16, 1976 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a special meeting on Thursday, September 16, 1976 at 4:30 P.M. in the City Hall for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Primary Election held on Tuesday, September 14, 1976. Members present: Councilmen Erickson, Trautmann, Latch, Novak and Schnirring. Members absent: Councilmen Kramer, Hallberg and Fischer. and Mayor Petersen. Councilman Schnirring introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ON PRIMARY ELECTION The results of the canvass of votes in the First and Fourth Wards of said City for the Primary Election held therein on Tuesday, the 14th day of September, 1976 be and the same are declared to be as follows: COUNCILMAN 1ST WARD COUNCILMAN 4TH WARD Ed Karnick Tony Kramer Jerry Kucala David Legler 181 97 54 78 Eldon Gilbert Theodore Shannon Dale M. Johnson 145 141 55 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council finds from said canvass that the following listed candidates in the First and Fourth Wards have received a plurality of votes in said Wards, and also finds and declares the following shall be the candidates for such office at the General Election November 2, 1976. FOR MAYOR Walter E. Petersen Donald Hallberg COUNCILMEN 1ST WARD COUNCILMEN 2ND WARD Ed Karnick Tony Kramer Thomas Novak -Unapposed COUNCILMEN 3RD WARD COUNCILMEN 4TH WARD Eldon Gilbert Theodore Shannon Minnesota the City of Hastings, 1976. Councilman Trautmann moved, seconded by Councilman Latch that the meeting be adjourned.
