HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-19-76 Hastingst Minnesota April 19, 1976 1907 The City COlUlCil of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on Monday, April 19, 1976 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Members present: Kramer, Erickson, Novak, Latch, Schnirrmng, Trautmann, Hallberg, Fischer and Mayor Petersen. Members absent: None. The J-.Iinutes of the Meeting of March 29, 1976 were approved with the following correction: In the llst of members present, the name of Bill Elliott is to be corrected to read, Fred Trautmann as present. The Minutes of the Meeting of April 5, 1976 were approved with the following correction: The Wine and Beer License was approved for William Caturia and not James Caturia. Moved by Councilman Kramer, seconded by Councilman Hallberg to approve the appointment of James Peterson, 2120 Louis Lane, Hastings, Mn. to the Planning Commission. Ayes, 7; Abstained, Erickson. The City Administrator informed the Council that Hazel Jacobson had submitted a letter requesting an item be withdrawn from the Agenda and be submitted at a later date. This item was in reference to the Dakota County Historical Building. Moved by Councilman Kramer, seconded by Councilman Fischer to encourage the creation of a Vermillion River Watershed District or an acceptable alternative which would be a vehicle through which this area can be managed. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. Moved by Councilman Schnirring, seconded by Councilman Latch to approve the Polling Place, Judges and Registrars for the Special Election of May 11, 1976 as follows: Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. This letter is to be forwarded td th e County Commiss- ioners and a request for a written reply of the County's formal position on this matter to be submitted to the City. Moved by Councilman Hallberg, seconded by Councilman Trautmann to pass the Second Reading for the Amendments fo the City Charter in Sections 1.03; 3.08; and 3.10 Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. COMMISSIONERS RE: PARKING LOT SECOND READING OF CHARTER AMENDMENTS SEC. 1.03; 3.08; 3.10 1908 RESOLUTION #25-76 WATER TRUNK LINE Moved by Councilman Schnirring, seconded by Councilman Hallberg to approve the Resolution which would authorize the City Attorney to begin condem- nation procedures which would be involved in the Water Trunk Line. Ayes, 6; Nayes, none. A copy of said Resolution on file in City Administration Office. SECOND READING OF Moved by Councilman Hallberg, seconded by WATER AVAILABILITY Councilman Fischer to approve the Second Reading of the CHARGE ORDINANCE Water Availability Charge Ordinance. Ayes, 7; Nayes, Erickson. APPROVE LICENSE FOR HASTINGS SANITARY DISPOSAL Moved by Councilman Novak, seconded by Councilman Trautmann to approve the renewal of the Trash Haulers License for the Hastings Sanitary Disposal Company. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. PAY BILLS Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by Councilman Schnirring to pay the bills as audited. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none. ADJOURN Moved by Councilman Kramer, seconded by Councilman Latch to adjourn the meeting at 9:36 P.M. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.
