HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-13-71 Adjourned Mtg. 860 Hastings, Minnesota December 13, 1971 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in an adjourned regular meeting on Monday, December 13, 1971 at 8:00 o'clock p. M. In the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Members present: Councilmen Novak, Collins, Hallberg, Wilson, O'Connor, Driscoll, Christenson and Mayor Rotty. ,-- \ i \. Members absent: Councilman Kane. The Council met for the purpose of reviewing the 1972 Budget as previously adopted on October 4, 1971. The budget was reviewed in light of recent changes in the tax laws passed subsequent to the adoption of the original budget. After due consideration, the following motion was made by Council- man Christenson, seconded by Councilman Novak, and unanimously adopted to amend the 1972 Budget for the City of Hastings in the following particu- lars: The total calculated expenses of the City of Hastings, Dakota and Washington Counties, Minnesota for the calendar year 1972 to be set at $973,029, and the following items to be amended as follows: GENERAL FUND - EXPENDITURES General Government Police Department Expert & Consultant Repairs to Equipment Motor Fuel r Parks & Playgrounds Repairs to Equipment $1,500. 6,500. 4,900. 1,550. Total General Fund Expenditures $517,451. GENERAL FUND - ESTIMATED REVENUE State Sales Tax amended to read State Formula Aids $160,200. Total General Fund Revenue $300,506. $216,945. AMOUNT TO BE LEVIED - GENERAL FUND STREET FUND - ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES Repairs to Equipment Upkeep of Streets $'16,200. 16,000. Total Street Fund Expenditures $175,491. AMOUNT TO BE LEVIED - STREETFUND $135,290. r STREET TRUCK SINKING FUND AMOUNT TO BE LEVIED $ 14,000. The City Clerk is hereby directed to set the budget for the year 1972 at the sum of $973,029., and that he directs the Dakota County and Washington County Auditors that the sum of $617,793. be levied upon the taxable property within the limits of the City of Hastings, Dakota and Washington Counties, Minnesota.
