The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
regular meeting on Monday, November 1, 1971 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Members present: Councilmen Novak, Collins, Hallberg, O'Connor,
Wilson, Christenson and Mayor Rotty.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Hallberg to
pass the third reading of an Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING V'
THE FOLLOWING REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF HASTINGS PURSUANT TO THE ORDER
OF THE MINNESOTA MUNICIPAL COMMISSION" to finally read as follows: Ayes,
all; Nays, none:
ORDINANCE ANNEXING LAND
BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Hastings, as follows:
WHEREAS, all of the property owners of the following described
property:
The East one-half of the East one-half of the
Northwest quarter (E~ of E~ of NW~) of Section
Thirty-two (32), Township One Hundred Fifteen
North (115N), Range Seventeen West (17W),
Dakota County, Minnesota, containing 40 acres, more
or less, according to Government Survey.
Have petitioned to have said lands annexed to the City of Hastings; a
Municipal Corporation; and

WHEREAS, after due proceedings by the Minnesota Municipal Com-
mission, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Annotated 414.033, said Minnesota
Municipal Commission by an order dated September 29, 1971 has ordered
that said lands be and are annexed to the City of Hastings; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Hastings that said
lands in fact be annexed to said City of Hastings:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained that said land be and hereby
are annexed to the City of Hastings.
The City Clerk is authorized and instructed to cause this ordin-
ance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Hastings,
and a copy of this ordinance filed with the Minnesota Municipal Commission,
the Town Clerk of the Township of Nininger, the Dakota County Auditor, and
the Secretary of State of and for the State of Minnesota.
Dated this 1st day of November, 1971.

allow a credit of 50~ per foor or $99.00 for existing concrete curb on
the following assessment roll to the property o~er as listed below:'
Assessment Roll under Commission #5691, West 15th Street; Grading,
Gravel Base, Storm Sewer, Bituminous Surfacing, Concrete Curb, Gutter and
Sidewalks: Francis Cahill, Lots 6, 7 & 8, Block 97, Original Town Addition,
198 front feet - Decrease assessment by $99.00 from $762.30 to $663.30.
Ayes, Councilmen Novak, Collins, O'Connor, Wilson and Christenson. Nays,
Councilman Hallberg. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilman O'Connor, seconded by Councilman Christenson
that the Building Inspector, City Engineer, Chief of Police and Fire Chief
provide the Council with a written report for the next Council meeting on
the progress of the demolition or restoration of structures on Lots 1 & 2,
. Block 7, Original Town Addition. Ayes, al1,,;- Nays, none.
Moved by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Hallberg that
the bills as audited be approved and the City Clerk be instructed to issue
warrants for the same. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
