The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in an
adjourned regular meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 1971 at 7:30 P.M. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall.

Members present: Councilmen Novak, Kane, Collins, Hallberg,
o 'Connor" Wilson, Driscoll, Christenson,
and Mayor Rotty.
Members absent:
None.
An Informal Hearing was held to discuss the reconstruction of
Vermillion Street from 3rd Street to CSAH #47. A representative from
the Minnesota Highway Department and other interested persons were in
attendance. Everyone present was given an opportunity to be heard.
Moved by Councilman O'Connor, seconded by Councilman Novak
to approve the l~" bituminous overlay on TH 1161 (Vermillion Street)
from 3rd Street to CSAH #47, to construct a bituminous island over the
existing islands with a vertical face bituminous curb, leaving all
present openings as they exist. The City Engineer in cooperation with
the Minnesota Highway Department to study a solution to left turn
traffic from Erickson Oil Service Station at 18th and Vermillion Streets.
Ayes, all; Nays, none.
Moved by Councilman Driscoll, seconded by Councilman Hallberg
that the meeting be adjourned. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
