HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-04-71 652 Hastings, Minnesota January 4, 1971 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on Monday, January 4, 1971 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Members present: Councilmen Soleim, Novak, Hallberg, Christensn, Driscoll and Mayor Rotty. Members absent: Councilmen Fischer and Mayer,and Kane. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Moved by Councilman Christenson, seconded by Councilman Novak that "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION TO PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS" be amended in the following particulars pass the second reading: Ayes, all; Nays, none. "The membership shall consist of nine persons, two of whom shall be Council members, and seven of whom shall be non-Council citizens selected in accordance with this Ordinance. The City Engineer shall serve as an advisor to the Connnission on engineering matters". Moved by Councilman Driscoll, seconded by Councilman Christenson that the following Cigarette Licenses be approved for the calendar year of 1971: Ayes, all; Nays, none. For S. V. Ayes, all; Nays none. Moved by Councilman Hallberg, seconded by Councilman Soleim to pass the first reading to amend an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND CONTROLLING THE USE OF SNOWMOBILES" in the following particular: Ayes, all; Nays, none. Section 2, Subdivision 5 be amended to read as follows: r, I I "5. On any other public place except as may be specifically permitted by resolution of the City Council." Moved by Councilman Driscoll, seconded by Councilman Hallberg that the bills as audited be approved and the City Clerk be instructed to issue warrants for the same. Ayes, all; Nays, none. r I .
