HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-28-70 P.H. 582 Hastings, Minnesota September 28, 1970 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met for a Public Hearing on Monday, September 28, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. o'clock in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Members present: Councilmen Soleim, Novak, Kane, Hallberg, Christenson, Fischer and Mayor Rotty. Members absent: Councilmen Driscoll and Mayer. The City Clerk presented affidavits showing the due publication of the notice of a public hearing on the proposed new City of Hastings Zoning Ordinance heretofore recommended to the Council by the City of Hastings Planning Commission. It was noted that the notice contained the time, place and purpose of the hearing and that the same had been duly published in the official newspaper of the municipality at least ten days prior to the date of the hearing. -, [ I I The Mayor welcomed the persons present to the zoning hearing. After introductory remarks the Mayor called upon Planning Commission Chairman Peterson who explained the purpose of the new proposed zoning ordinance and the public hearing thereon. City Engineer Davidson then reviewed the new proposed zoning districts as set forth in the proposed zoning ordinance. Thereafter the meeting was opened to public question and comment. After all persons present had been given an opportunity to be heard, and when no one indicated they wished to offer further comment or question, the Mayor stated that further public hearing on this zoning ordinance would be held September 30, 1970 and that all persons were welcome to be present at that time as well as at the time of a final public hearing on the zoning ordinance scheduled for October 7, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. All person present were thanked for their comments and questions and the Mayor stated that all matters stated would be taken under consid- eration. Whereupon by motion duly made by Councilman Hallberg, seconded by Councilman Kane, the public hearing scheduled for September 28, 1970 was adjourned. Ayes, all; Nays, none. September 30, 1970 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met for a public hearing on Wednesday, September 30, 1970 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Members present: Councilmen Soleim, Novak, Kane, Hallberg, Christenson, Fischer, Mayer and Mayor Rotty. Members absent: Councilman Driscoll. Mayor Rotty declared the public hearing on the new proposed zoning ordinance open at 7:30 P.M. pursuant to published notice hereto- fore given in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Annotated, Section 462.357, Subdivision 3. The Mayor further stated that this is the second of three public hearings scheduled on the new proposed zoning ordinance, the first having been September 28, 1970 and the third to be October 7, 1970 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall. All persons present were advised that they could attend the subsequent hearing also if they wished to do so. ~ The City Engineer explained the new zoning ordinance districts after introductory comments by the Mayor and Chairman of the Planning Commission. All persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. After extended discussions, there being no one else wishing to make any further comment or pose any further questions, it was moved by Councilman Fischer, seconded by Councilman Mayor that the meeting be adjourned.
