The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
special closed door session on Monday, April 16, 1984 after the regular
City Council meeting at 10:25 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City
Ha 11.
Members Present: Councilmen Karnick, Nesbitt, Klimek, Pike,
Plan, Kulzer, Trautmann, Werner and Mayor
Stoffel.
Members Absent:
None.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the 1984 Fire
Department Union Contract.
Moved by Councilman Karnick, seconded by Councilman
Trautmann to approve the following payroll plan for the Fire
Department.

1-1-85 2,150 35 5% 2,294
7-1-95 2,294 35 0% 2,329
The Insurance' language would also be changed to read: effective January
1, 1984 the dependent hospital and medical surgical coverage is $199.90
per month, the employee will pay $20 per month of this amount, the
employer shall pay the balance. In the event of a premium increase,
such increase shall be paid as follows:
1. The first $20 shall be paid by the employer
2. Any additional increase in excess of $20 shall be split
75% paid by employer, 25% paid by employee.
This contract would run from 1-1-84 through 12-31-85. Ayes, 8; Nayes,
None.
