Action Requested Authorize payment in the amount of $31,786.55 to Rachel Contracting for activities completed through October 25, 2012 for the partial demolition of the Hudson Manufacturing
Building. Project activities include mobilization, patch masonry, fencing, and materials abatement. Upon payment, $115,860.45 remains on the original contract. Background Information:
Demolition is limited to the 48,000 s.f. portion of the Hudson Building constructed in 1974. The remaining 100,000 s.f. structure would remain. The Hastings Economic Development and
Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA) is actively seeking developers for the remaining structure. Financial Impact: The cost of demolition will be reimbursed via $250,000 in grant funding
through the Dakota County Community Development Agency. Advisory Commission Discussion: HEDRA unanimously approved the pay estimate at the November 8, 2012 meeting. Council Committee
