– 1614 4th Street East City Council Action Requested: The City Council is asked to adopt the attached resolution granting a full Type II Home Occupation Permit to Vicki Majeski-Litschke
to operate a Type II home occupation from her home at 1614 4th Street East. This five-year license would expire on November 5, 2017. Background Information: On November 7, 2011, the
City Council granted provisional approval of the permit subject to review after one year. The applicant had requested a Type II Home Occupation License to operate a photography studio
at her residence. After a type II home occupation license is approved, it operates for a one-year probationary period before it can be issued a full license that lasts for five years.
In the past year of operations, there have not been any known issues with the home occupation. Financial Impact: None Advisory Commission Discussion: None Council Committee Discussion:

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. _______________ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS APPROVING THE FULL TYPE II HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR VICKI MAJESKI-LITSCHKE
AT 1614 4TH STREET EAST Council member ______________________ introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, Vicki Majeski-Litschke has petitioned for approval
of a Type II Home Occupation License to operate a photography studio at 1614 4th Street East, legally described as PT OF GOVT LOT 1 26-115-17 S OF BLK 15 BARKERS ADD & P OF GOVT LOT
5 SECTION 27-11 LYING N OF VERMILLION SLOUG E OF LAKE ISABEL OUTLET CRE ALSO LOTS 25 26 27 & 28 AUD SUBDIVISION NO 28 & LOTS 1 8 BLK 15 & E 7.40 FT OF LOT BLK 15 BARKERS ADDITION & P
VAC ALLEY ACCRUING THERETO, Dakota County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, on November 7, 2011, the City Council adopted a Resolution approving a one year probationary license subject to review
and full approval after one year; and WHEREAS, the probationary period has passed with the City receiving no complaints about the Home Occupation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS AS FOLLOWS: That the City Council hereby approves the full Type II Home Occupation License request of Vicki Majeski-Litschke as presented to the
City Council subject to the following conditions: 1) That the business be operated in compliance with the information provided by the applicant. The applicant shall provide the Planning
Department notice of changes that expand the business (i.e. additional outside employees) to determine if the business is operating within the confines of the code. 2) That the business
will be operated in compliance with the Home Occupation regulations as established by the Hastings City Council.
3) The Home Occupation License shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of City Council approval. Council member __________________ moved a second to this resolution and
