VIII. REPORTS FROM CITY STAFF A. Public Works B. Community Development 1. Hudson Redevelopment Update Hinzman introduced the item and provided background on the project, including potential
future uses. The Council thanked Hinzman for the update. C. Administration 1. Mississippi River Boat Dock Dredge Project Bernstein introduced the item and requested approval for the
projected to be completed in 2012 at a cost savings over doing it in 2013. Schultz, Nelson to approve the request to complete the project this fall. 7-0 2. Drug Task Force Update and
Approval of Out of Classification Compensation Agreement Schnell introduced the item and provided an update on the drug task force. Schnell requested authorization for Officer Schowalter
to be assigned as a supervisor for the DCDTF Nelson, Slavik 7-0 3. Residential Solid Waste and Recycling Collection License Osberg introduced the item. There was significant discussion
over the merits of each of the proposals, including the unique factors in each. Schultz, Alongi to award the license to Tennis Sanitation Roll Call vote was taken 6-1; Balsanek voting

be meeting re: lawn issues with a past reconstruction project • Alongi noted that he will be working with staff regarding lighting at Vet’s Park • Monday October 8, 2012; Planning Commission
meeting at City Hall starting at 7:00 pm • Tuesday October 9, 2012; Parks and Recreation Commission meeting at City Hall starting at 6 PM • Thursday October 11, 2012; HEDRA meeting at
City Hall starting at 6 PM • Monday October 15, 2012; next meeting of the City Council at 7 PM in the Council Chambers
