The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular
meeting on Monday, October 20, 1980 at 7: 30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall.
Mamers present: Councilmen Trautmann, Trutna, Kulzer, Stoffel,
Shannon, Karnick, Collins, lBgler, and Mayor
Petersen.
Manbers absent:
None.
The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
meeting of October 6, 1980 and hearing none declared the minutes approved as
presented.
Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by Councilman 2ND READINJ ORD. #115
Shannon to pass the 2nd reading of the amendment to the Zoning MN/IXJr GARAGE MarION
Ordinance, Chapter 10.21 of the Hastings City Code, having to FAIIS
do with the MNjror Truck Garage, and to call for a public hearing
on this rezoning, for Nova1i:>er 3, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. Ayes, 4;
Nayes, 4. The Mayor declined to vote. Motion lost.
Moved by Councilman Shannon, seconded by Councilman
Trautmann to call for a public hearing on the ordinance amend-
ment concerning the MNjror Truck Garage for NovEmber 3, 1980 at
7:30 p.m. in the Council Charrhers. Ayes, 7; Nayes, lBgler.
Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by Councilman
Kulzer to approve a hane occupation for Mr. Pine, 550 W. 3rd St.
to operate a automotive upholster/repair shop in his hane.
Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.
Moved by Councilman Shannon, seconded by Councilman
Kulzer to deny the rezoning request fran Hastings Construction
Company, to rezone the South side of W. 12th Street, West of
Pleasant Drive, fran R-l to R-3. Ayes, Trutna, Kulzer, Shannon,
Collins; Nayes, Trautmann, Stoffel, Karnick, Legler. Being a
tie vote the Mayor voted Nay. Motion lost.

Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by Councilman
Stoffel to hold over to the meeting of Novamer 3, 1980, the
awarding of the bid for the lease of Industrial Park land.

Trutna to approve the sale of:

County Recorder's Office, Dakota County, Minnesota, described

to be described; thence southwesterly, along the southeast line
