The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular
rooeting on Monday, Septenber 2, 1980 at 7;30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall.
Menhers present: Councilmen Trautmann, Trutna, Kulzer, Stoffel,
Shannon, Karnick, Collins, I..egler, and Mayor
Petersen.
Menhers absent:
None.
'nle Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
meeting of August 18, 1980 and hearing none declared the minutes approved as
presented.
Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by CounciJ.man
Kulzer to approve a variance request to allON building permit
and private access on an unin:proved street at 1114 W. 3rd Street,
for James Moore. See Planner's mano dated August 21, 1980.

I..egler to call for a public hearing on the vacation of the alley
between 11th & 12th Streets and Forest and Walnut Streets. -
The hearing to be set for October 6, 1980 at 7: 30 p.m. in the
Council Chanbers of the City Hall. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

Ci ty Council fran $100.00 to $200.00 per roonth; Mayor fran $150.00
to $250.00 per m:>nth, effective January 2, 1981. Ayes, 6;
Nayes, Kulzer, Collins.

Trutna to adopt resolution #5&:-80 authorizing the amendment to
the Joint and Cooperative Agreanent between the City of Hastings
and the Suburban Rate Authority. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

Karnick to approve the payment of $2,610.00 to Pine Bend Paving
for the work on the Tennis Courts at Roadside Park, but to hold
the payment to Quad City Sealers, in the amount of $3, 378.15.

to allON Staff to prepare facts and figures regarding this request.

Trutna to approve an hourly increase in salary for Dorothy
Johnson, part time secretary for the Police Department. To
increase the rate of $4.20 per hour to $4.80 per hour, effective
Septerber 1, 1980 . Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

Legler to approve Mrs. Michael Matsch as an election judge in
the second ward, replacing Mrs. Corrinne McNamara. Ayes, 8;
