PROCLAMATION HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL Declaring, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 as “HASTINGS AREA YMCA DAY” IN THE CITY OF HASTINGS AND EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS FOR FIVE YEARS OF COMMUNITY
IMPACT WHEREAS, On Tuesday September 18, 2012 the Hastings Area YMCA will be celebrating its five years of community impact; and WHEREAS, In that time, over 1.3 million community visits
have been recorded at the Hastings Area YMCA; and WHEREAS, The Hastings Area YMCA employs over 168 team members; and WHEREAS, The Hastings Area YMCA stands for youth development, healthy
living, and social responsibility; and WHEREAS, The Y in Hastings is changing lives through programs that teach our youth water safety, civic engagement, and healthy lifestyles; and
WHEREAS, The Hastings Area YMCA has awarded over $575,000 in scholarships so that all in the Hastings community have access to YMCA programs and activities; and WHEREAS, The Hastings
Area YMCA has forged collaborations to provide seamless programming which has resulted in a stronger stronger community; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Hastings that Tuesday, September 18, 2012 is Proclaimed “Hastings Area YMCA Day” in the City of Hastings and the Hastings Area YMCA is congratulated on its Five Year Anniversary Adopted
