The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota rret at a regular
rreeting on M:mday, June 15, 1981 at 7: 30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of
City Hall.
Members present: Councilman legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Pike,
Karnick, Trutna, Klirrek, Bond, Mayor Stoffel.
Members absent: None.
The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
rreeting of June 1, 1981 and hearing none declared the minutes approved as
read.
The Public Hearing was opened by the Mayor at
7:32 P.M. to consider the Ibwntown Redeveloprrent
Improverrents. The legal notices of the hearing were
read into the record. The meeting was turned over
to Mr. Jack Leaman of R.C.M. who gave a present-
ation on the proposed work to be done, and estim-
ated costs. All persons desiring to speak on the
matter were given the opportunity to do so. The
Mayor closed the hearing at 8:34 P.M.

Councilman legler to deny the special use permit
a two-family dwelling conversion at 1023 Ramsey
Street. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

MJved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by
Councilman legler, to accept the proposal from
Stevenson, Edwards & Associates, Inc. to do an
appraisal of the City buiJJdings and contents, and
set up a depreciation schedule on all property,
buildings, and large equipment. Ayes, 8; Nayes,
none.

Councilman Kulzer, to accept the 1980Ci ty financial
stateroont as presented by Gary Kran'Br, C.P.A.
Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.
Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by
Councilrmn-:-Tri1tna, to pass the second reading to the
an'Bndment to the Ibg Ordinance regulating the keep-
ing of kennels and defining kennels, amending
Section 5.75 and Section 9.21 of the Hastings
City Code. Ayes, 7; Nayes, Kulzer.
Moved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by
Councilman Legler, for the City and State to assume
75 percent of the cost of diseased tree rEm:>va1,
including sturrp rerroval, on both private and public
property, and the land owner being responsible for
25 percent of the total cost. This applies to all
trees marked and rerroved in the year 1981. Ayes, 8;
Nayes, none.
Moved by Councilman legler, seconded by
Councilman Karnick, to deny Mr. Eisinger license
to haul garbage and rubbish within City limits.
Ayes 8; Nayes, none.
}.bved by Councilman Trutna, seconded by
Councilman Klirrek, to approve the abatements for
reduced assessed valuation on the fallowing listed
parcel numbers. Ayes, 8; Nayes, none.

and the Business/Professional/and Industrial segments of the Hastings

WHEREAS, Rivertown Days is dedicated to fostering civic pride and unity, by
providing a 100aningful ccmnuni ty project focusing added attention on the
cultural and historical features of Hastings, and
WHEREAS, Rivertown Days provides a full week-end of entertainment, recreation,
and enjoyrrent ai.med toward the entire family, and
