The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular
meeting on Monday, January 19, 1981 at 7: 30 P. M. in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall.
MaJi:>ers present: Counci1men Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Pike, Karnick,
Trutna, Klimek, and Mayor Stoffel.
MaJi:>ers absent: None.
The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the
meeting of January 5, 1981. '!he vote on the root ion appointing the Acting
Mayor was recorded as AJes, 6; Nayes, none. '!his to be corrected to read, the
vote was Ayes, 6; Nayes, Legler. '!he minutes were approved as corrected.
'!he Mayor opened the public hearing to consider
amending Section 10.07 of the Sign Ordinance having to do with
signs in Agricultural and Residential Zoning Districts at
7:30 P.M. '!he legal affidavits were read into the record by
the Administrator. No one spoke for or against the amendment.
The Mayor having given everyone an opportunity to speak closed
the hearing at 7:40 P.M.

Moved by Counci1man Trautmann, seconded by Councilman
Pike to pass the third and final reading of the amendnent to
the Sign Ordinance, Section 10.07, Subdivision 3 S (2). Copy of
Amendment on file in City Clerk's office. Ayes, 7; Nayes, none.

'!he Mayor opened the public hearing on the use of
Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for a Resc~' Vehicle for the Fire
Department at 7:40 P.M. '!he legal notices were read into the
record by the City Administrator. There were no objections
by anyone as to using part of the funds for this purpose. '!he
Mayor having given everyone an opportunity to speak closed the
hearing at 7:45 P.M.

ordinance regarding elected officials serving on the Industrial
