November 3, 1982
The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
special meeting on Wednesday, November 3, 1982 at 4:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall for the purpose of canvassing the election returns
from the General Election held Tuesday, November 2, 1982.
Members Present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Pike,
Trutna, and Mayor Stoffel
Members Absent:
Councilmen Karnick, Klimek, and Bond
Councilman Trautmann introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ON GENERAL ELECTION NO. 66-82
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hastings,
Minnesota:
That the results of the canvass of votes in the several wards
of the City of Hastings, Minnesota, at the General Election held their on
Tuesday, November 2, 1982, and th~ results of the said election by the City
Council be and the same are to be as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council finds from said canvass
that the following candidates have received a plurality of votes, arid
finds that and declares the following candidates to be elected to the
office of said City:
Mayor Lu Ann Stoffel (2 years)
1st Ward Councilman Theola (Dutch) Plan (4 years)
2nd Ward Councilman Tom Nesbitt (4 years)
3rd Ward Councilman Fred Trautmann (4 years)
4th Ward Councilman Michael Werner (4 years)

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrator/Clerk is
hereby directed to send certificates of election to the above listed
candidates and take their Oath of Office.
Councilman Pike seconded the motion to adopt said resolution
and the same was passed by the following vote: Ayes, 5; Nayes, None.
Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman Pike that
this meeting be adjourned at 4:40 p.m. Ayes, 5; Nayes, None.
