II T"""I OJ o m m <I: r- I COUNCILMEN 1ST WARD David Legler Theola (Dutch) Plan r- 167 Hastings, Minnesota September 15, 1982 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a Special Meeting on Wednesday, September 15, 1982 at 4:30 P.M. in City Hall for the purposes of Canvassing the Election Returns for the Primary Election held on Tuesday, September 14, 1982. Members Present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Pike, Karnick, Trutna, Klimek, Bond, and Mayor Stoffel. Members Absent: Councilman Trautmann Councilman Karnick introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ON PRIMARY ELECTION RESOLUTION NO. 54-82 The results of the canvass of votes in the three Wards of said City for the Primary Election held therein on Tuesday, the 14th day of September, 1982 be and the same are declared to be as follows: COUNCILMEN 2ND WARD COUNCILMEN 3RD WARD Tom Nesbitt 308 Thomas Reuter 112 Milo (Mike) Simacek 283 Gary (Giggs) Doffing M:ichael 'P. Ellis Fred Trautmann 239 133 339 COUNCILMEN 4TH WARD Richard Bond Eugene Murphy Ted Shannon Michael Werner 226 43 218 281 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council finds from said canvass that the following listed candidates in the Fou<!\' Wards of the City have received a plurality of votes in said Wards, and also finds and declares the following shall be candidates for such Office at the General Election November 2, 1982. MAYOR Lu Ann Stoffel and Tom Trutna COu1~CILMEN 2ND WARD COUNCILMEN 3RD WARD COUNCILMEN 4TH WARD Tom Nesbitt Milo (Mike) Simacek Gary (Giggs) Doffing Fred Trautmann Richard Bond Michael Werner this by the City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota September, 1982. Mayor Councilman Legler seconded the motion and the same was passed by the following votes: l.d resolution Nayes, None. Moved by Councilman Legler, seconded by Councilman Bond to adjourn the meeting at 4:40 p.m. Ayes, 7; .Nayes, None. Pursuant to Chapter 2, Section 3, of the City Charter, the City Clerk notified the two candidates for the Office of Councilman, Second, Third, and Fourth Wards who had received the largest number of votes in the Primary Election that their respective names would appear on the General Elec .ion ot 0 vember 2, 1982 unless t y r f to run. / ATTEST:
