The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
regular meeting on Monday, June 14, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. at the Hastings
National Guard Armory.

Members Present: Councilmen Legler, Kulzer, Trautmann, Pike,
Karnick, Klimek, Bond, and Mayor Stoffel.
Members Absent: Councilman Trutna.
The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of
the meeting of May 17, 1982 and the special meeting of June 1, 1982 and
hearing none declared the minutes approved as presented.

Kulzer that the Board of Equalization meeting be adjourned.
The meeting adjourned at 7:31 P.M. Ayes, 7; Nayes, None.
Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman
Karnick to accept bids and award contract for the 1982
Street Improvements to Cannon Valley Construction. After
discussion the motion and the second were withdrawn.

awarding the contract to Cannon Valley Construction, the low
bidder for the 1982 petitioned Street Improvement - State
Street from 2nd to 3rd. Ayes, 7; Nayes, None. Resolution
on file.

Trautmann to accept Resolution #23~82 accepting bids and
awarding the contract to Cannon Valley Construction the low
bidder for 1982 petitioned Street Improvements, Ash from
2nd to 3rd, 3rd Street from Ash to Farm. Ayes, 7; Nayes,
None. Resolution on file.

Pike to deny the 1982 Street Improvement for Prairie Street
Fourth to Sixth. Ayes, Councilmen Pike, Karnick, Bond.

man Kulzer to pass the first reading of the ordinance amend-
ment regulating the keeping and licensing of dogs, amending
Section 9.21 of the Hastings City Code. Ayes, 6; Naye,
Legler. Motion passes.
Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman
Klimek to pass the third and final reading of Ordinance #127
amending Hastings City Code Section 9.72 having to do with
the consumption of beer or liquor on streets and public
property. Ayes, 7; Nayes, None.
Moved by Councilman Karnick, seconded by Councilman
Legler to approve the rural fire agreement as presented.

Klimek to table the rural fire agreement for the Fire
Committee of the Council to review. Ayes, Kulzer, Pike,

Legler to change the July 5, 1982 regular City Council
meeting to July 6, 1982 due to July 5th being a legal

South Frontage Road - North of High School Parking Lot.
