Results Council Action Requested: Schedule a special City Council meeting for Thursday, August 16 at 7:15 a.m. for the purpose of canvassing the local results of the Primary Election.
Background Information: The City Council must canvass the local results of the August 14 Primary Election within three days. The results which will be canvassed with be only for the
race of Ward 1 Councilmember, as voters will narrow the choices from three candidates to two for the November 6 General Election. The Finance Committee has a meeting scheduled for 7:30
on August 16, so it is staff’s recommendation to schedule a brief special City Council meeting prior to that committee meeting. Financial Impact: None Advisory Commission Discussion:
