Requested: Approve the request by the Hastings Jaycees Background Information: The newly formed Hastings Jaycees wish to have a family overnight campout at Lake Rebecca Park on June
2, 2012. The Jaycees wish to conduct this event to bring awareness, strategize and develop a work plan for the upcoming months. In addition, it is the Jaycees' intent that by holding
this family campout, it will create a sense of community within the Jaycees' organization. The Jaycees plan to have family-type games, campfire and cookout. The City Council has approved
other service organizations overnight camping opportunities previously. If approved, the Hastings Police Department will be notified to patrol this park while this event is scheduled.
Financial Impact: The Jaycees were informed that if they need additional outdoor restrooms, picnic tables or other support services, they would be charged accordingly. Advisory Commission
