Mr. Nelson is requesting a reduction in the remaining balance of his ambulance bill. His current remaining balance is $161.38. Staff is recommending denial of this approval. Background
Information: Mr. Nelson's wife was transported by our ambulance service in July of 2011. His insurance covered 80% of the invoice, with the co-pay balance (per his insurance policy)
the patient's responsibility. With the current economy, Mr. Nelson stated he will be experiencing financial hardships at the end of 2011. Financial Impact: Approval of this appeal will
result in $161.38 in loss revenue for the city. Staff is willing to work with Mr. Nelson in a monthly payment plan. Advisory Commission Discussion: N/A Council Committee Discussion:
