The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on
Monday, May 15, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 101 4th Street East,
Hastings, Minnesota.
Members Present: Cou eil ember Riveness,, Varner, Johnson, Simae 1, Morat ka,
Hicks and Mayor Werner
Members Absent: None
Staff Members Present: Dave Osberg, City Administrator;
and Shawn Moynihan, City Attorney
Mayor Werner asked if there were any corrections or additions to the APPROVAL
minutes of the regular meeting of May 1, 1995, other than that l had OF MINUTES
previously been presented by City Clerk Barb Thompson. Hearing none, Mayor
Werner declared the minutes approved as presented.

Mayor Werner opened the Public Hearing to consider placing the
1 st Presbyterian Church on the Hastings' list of Heritage Preservation Sites.
HPC Director John Grossman presented further information on this request. The
City Adm inistrator provided proof of affidavit of publication. The Mayor r asked
if anyone wished to speak on the issue. Ethel Thieling on behalf of the church,
asked the Council to pl ace the 1 st Presbyterian Church on the Hastings' list of
Heritage Preservation Sites. Mayor Werner closed the public hearing at 7:09 p.m.
Moved by Couneilmember Johnson, seconded by Couneilmernber
Warner to approve Resolution No. 9 -95 designating the 1 st Presbyterian
Church as a Hastings Heritage Preservation Site. 7 ayes; lays, None.

Moved by Coun ilmember Pliers, seconded by Couneffinember
Johnson authorizing City Staff to enter into an Agreement with the Brimeyer
Group to conduct a workshop for the Fire Department in an amount not
to exceed $5,000. 5 Ayes; Nays, Riveness and Warner.

Licks authorizing the use of the existing outdoor swi =iug pool filters in
the indoor swimming pool at the Hastings High School for nine months,
effective June 1, 1995 subject to execution of ` an agreement outlining
the responsibilities of each party, 7 Ayes; Nays, lone.

The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a special meeting on
Monday, May 15, 1995 at 6 o p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 10 1 4th Street East,
Hastings, Minnesota. The pose of the meeting was to conduct the Washington County Board
of review meeting.
Members Present: Couneilm rnhtf�r Riveness, blamer, Johnson, Sima e , Moratzka
and Mayor Werner
Members Absent: Councilmember Hicks
Staff Members Present: Dave Osberg, City Administrator
Mayor Verner called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., and the Deputy
City Clerk provided proof of affidavit of publication of this meeting.
The Mayor asked if anyone wished to make an appeal to the City
Council. (Board of evie , as is required before an appeal can be mad
to the rvashin ton Counter Board of Equalizat and no one wished to do so.
