The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting on
Tuesday, January 17, 1 995 at 7: 00 p.m. in the City Hail Council Chambers, 10 1 4th Street East,
Hastings, Minnesota.
Members 'resent* Cowicilmember Riveness, Warner, Johnson, Simacel , Hicks,
Moratla and Mayor Werner

Staff Members Present: Dave Osberg, City Administrator;
Barb Thompson, City Clerk;
Mike Wozniak, Community Development Director;
and Shawn Moynihan, City Attorney
Mayor Werner asked if there were any corrections or additions APPROVAL of
to the minutes of the regular meeting on January 3, 1995 and the special MINUTES
meeting of January 9, 1995, and hearing none declared them approved as
presented.

Mayor Werner opened the public Hearing at 7 :01 p.m. to consider PUBLIC
a request from Community rational Bark for a comprehensive plan REAM1 G-
amendment from Urban Residential to Commercial for approximately COMP PLAN
2.5 acres at Vermillion and 36th Streets; also a request to rezone From A ND -REZON
Agriculture to C -2. This public hearing includes a request to rezone from
Agriculture to -3 for approximately 6.9 acres located south of 36th
Street and west of Cari Park Addition. Mayor Werner asked if anyone
wished to spear on the issue, no one wished to do so. The Mayor closed
the public hearing at 7:03 p.m.
Moved by Councilrnernber Johnson, seconded by Couneilmember 2ND RE A. ING-
Warner to approve the 2nd Reading of a rezone from Agriculture to R-3 COMP PLAN
for this entire property based on findings of R-3 designation is consistent AMEND-REZONE
with the comprehensive plan. 7 Ayes; lays, bone.
