Approve creating a City Twitter Account. Background Information: Over the last several months, staff has been become more familiar with the additional communication opportunities a City
Twitter account would offer, in alignment with our CORE values and our Communications Strategy. If approved, it is anticipated that the City’s Twitter account will go “live” the day
following Council approval. As with Facebook, the City’s website, and other communication methods, there are numerous opportunities for the City to share information and events with
the public through a Twitter account, complimenting existing efforts already in place. Financial Impact: None. Twitter is a free social media, and “tweets” will be done by staff as part
of our existing communication efforts. Advisory Commission Discussion: None. Council Committee Discussion: None Attachments: N/A
