January 10, 2011
Regular Meeting
Vice Chair Peine called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
Roll Call

Commissioners Present: Peine, Stevens, Bullington, Vaughan, Rohloff, Messina
Commissioners Absent: Slaten
Staff Present: Justin Fortney, Associate Planner
Elect Chair and Vice Chair

Motion by Vaughan to nominate Peine as the chair of the Planning Commission, seconded by
Stevens.
Upon vote taken, Ayes 6, Nays 0. Motion carried.
Motion by Bullington to nominate Stevens as the vice chair of the Planning Commission,
seconded by Peine.
Upon vote taken, Ayes 6, Nays 0. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes – December 13, 2010

Motion by Vaughan to approve the December 13, 2010, minutes. Seconded by Rohloff.
Upon vote taken, Ayes 6, Nays 0. Motion carried.

Fortney presented the staff report.
Vaughan asked what the nature of the passage way was between the restaurant and the hotel.

Fortney said it is existing, but may not be paved.
Bullington asked what improvements are proposed to the exterior of the building. Fortney
compared the picture of the existing building to the proposed elevations.
Vaughan asked what the procedure is for reviewing the signage. Fortney said the applicants will
submit a separate sign permit that is reviewed by staff.
Motion by Stevens to approve the action as presented. Seconded by Bullington.
Upon vote taken, Ayes 6, Nays 0. Motion carried.
Other Business

Fortney updated the Commission on upcoming items and previous City Council actions.

Motion by Rohloff to adjourn the January 10, 2011, Planning Commission meeting. Seconded by
Stevens.
Upon vote taken, Ayes 6, Nays 0. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
