Council Action Requested:
Approve the attached resolution approving 2011-2013 Massage Establishment Licenses
Background Information:
Licensees are required to submit renewal license paperwork every third year, pay required fees,
have completed a background check and an inspection of the establishment before renewal
licenses are issued.
Financial Impact:
Fee for a three year Masssage Establishment License is $100.00

RESOLUTION NO. 12- -10
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS
APPROVING 2011-2013 MASSAGE ESTABLISHMEMT LICENSES
WHEREAS,
every third year, licensed massage establishments are required to
reapply for a license; and
WHEREAS
, renewal notices were sent out, licensees have paid their fees,
returned their paperwork and background checks completed. Required inspections of the
establishments have been completed.
WHEREAS,
the license year runs from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2013
and
WHEREAS,
the following applicants have applied for a license renewal for the
2011-2013 license years:
A Fitting Place, 209 Sibley Street

Caring Hands Massage & Spa, 115 5 St. E
th
Elm Salon, 115 4 Street East
Hastings Family Chiropractic, 1266 N. Frontage Road
Lily Pad Day SPA, 103 Sibley Street
Power Within Chiropractic, 1355 So. Frontage Road
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HASTINGS AS FOLLOWS;
That the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to sign licenses authorizing the
above applicants to operate as a licensed massage establishment for the period of January
1, 2011—December 31, 2013, unless revoked by the City Council.
