Item: Contribution to Hastings High School Art Club
Council Action Requested:
Authorize contribution of $100.00 to the Hastings High School Art Club for the material costs
they accrued for their involvement in the Community Halloween Party.
Background Information:
As part of the City's Halloween event, the Hastings Art Club aided in the development, design,
and construction of a display for Trick or Treat Street. This activity allows children to participate
in walking down a "street" to receive candy and safety tips.
For the involvement of the Hastings Art Club in this event, I am seeking authorization from the
City Council to make a contribution to the Hastings Art Club in the amount of $100.00 for the
material costs they accrued.
Financial Impact:
This contribution will come out of funds that the community donated for the Halloween Party.

RESOLUTION 11- -10
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRIBUTION TO THE HASTINGS HIGH
SCHOOL ART CLUB
WHEREAS,
The Hastings High School Art Club assisted in the design and
construction of a display for the 2010 Youth First Community Halloween Party;
WHEREAS,
The City Council is appreciative of the efforts of the Hastings
High School Art Club and commends them for their civic efforts;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
by the City Council of the City of
Hastings, Minnesota;
1. That a contribution in the amount of $100.00 will be given to the
Hastings High School Art Department; and
2. That the Youth First budget will be adjusted accordingly.
