Re: Approval of Quotes — 2010 Traffic Marking Program
Bids were opened for the 2010 Traffic Marking Program on Wednesday, July 21, 2010.
The low bid, submitted by AAA Striping Service Company, came in below the $10,000
budget at $9,135.36. To keep up with the City's striping needs while maintaining the
$10,000 maximum budget, AAA Striping Service Company has agreed to stripe 10 St:
Ramsey to 18 St, Bailey St: 4 th St to Tyler St, Ramsey St: 2nd St to 10 St, Tyler St: 2nd St
to 10 St, and Pine St: 12 St to CSAH 46. Of the $9,589.34, $717.20 will be paid using
the 2009 -1 Industrial Park Area Improvement funds, $8,872.14 will be paid using traffic
marking funds, and the remaining budgeted traffic marking funds will be used to purchase
temporary raised pavement markers, which are used on the freshly seal- coated streets to
indicate where the existing striping was located.
The Council is asked to approve the quote to the lowest responsible bidder, AAA Striping
Service Company, in the amount of $9,589.34.
